Local Scrapbook stores...

Since the economical slump the creative community has suffered some losses... their favorite local scrapbook stores... I live in the Sacramento Valley of CA, and I already know of three that have fallen to the economy and to the BIG BOX STORES (JoAnne's, Michaels, and any of the chain craft stores that offer coupons or deep discounts.... ) Wal-Mart is even suffering.... however their problem is only lack of knowledgeable people in their craft area, and the fact that some people just don't know that they carry that kind of product. Scrappers are facing moral dilemma... save their pocketbook and go to the big box stores with their %40 coupons, or support their local stores... keeping the American Dream alive. Here is a list of local scrapbook stores that are still 'above water'...

Scrapbook Station in Folsom, CA. Their Roseville store (Pleasant Valley Rd.) is closing in April, and their Fair Oaks location has already shut their doors. Please, let's not let this scrapbook landmark drown....

Heart2Heart in Elk Grove...A relatively new store since 2006, located on the corner of Elk Grove Blvd and Waterman, it is an anchor store full of fun, a ginormous crop room, and very friendly staff...

Green Tangerines... Rocklin's trendy and huge scrapbook store just off of HWY 65... for us Sacramento Valley girls, it may be all the way out there... but it's well worth the drive.

Beverly's Scrapbook Store in South Sacramento... a South Sacramento favorite, this lady is the queen of the crop and has a beautiful selection of your favorite papers.

Scrapbook Addict... nestled in a new shopping center in West Sacramento... it is full of classic papers, and Sarah the scrapper... an old friend with a heart for the industry. I have since heard that this store has closed... if you know otherwise, please e-mail me and let me know.

If I've left anyone off... let me know...
